Temple's disabilities did not stop her not from doing what she loves. As Temple was growing up she had anti-social issues which did not help her around other peers her age. Temple's disabilities made her afraid of things in everyday life. Temple graduated from Hampshire Country school in 1966, which was a school for gifted children. In the year of 1970, Temple got her bachelor degree in psychology from Franklin Pierce College. She received a master's degree in animal science, from Arizona State University in 1975. Her final degree was a doctoral degree in animal science from the University of Illinois at Urban- Champaign in 1989. No, Temple Grandin does not have any children. Temple is neither married nor had a relationship with anyone. Her two closes friends were her professor Dr. Carlock and her roommate.
Temple Grandin became famous because she invented an animal handling device also known as the "squeeze machine." She also invented a livestock handling device called "the curved cattle chure." She created this because whenever she was frightened or nervous she would go inside the box and it would calm her down just like the cows and the cattle would. Temple specially designed this for cattle and horses. This machine would calm the cattle and not frighten them. However, she also became famous due to the fact that she inspires people worldwide who have autism just like her or people with special needs that anyone can achieve their dream. She quotes, "There needs to be a lot more emphasis on what a child can do instead of what he cannot do." She inspires thousands of people everyday. Temple Grandin is also a writer. She wrote about Autism and how she can relate to animals. Temple Grandin works for the livestock industry.
When you use obstacles as opportunities to allow yourself to learn from those experiences you will achieve in life. When Temple sees doors she gets frightened. She gets frightened because she doesn't know what's on the other side of that door. Temple's professor once told her, "A door that's going to open up onto a whole new world for you and all you need to do is decide to go through it." Therefore, I believe that if you really wan to do something in life you should put your all into it and if you believe in yourself you can achieve anything you want!
